The bi-monthly Board of Directors meeting will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 6:00pm. It  will be held in the LKLP Conference Room located at 398 Roy Campbell Drive, Hazard, KY 41701.

About the Agency

L.K.L.P. Community Action Council is a private, non-profit corporation with the primary service area of the southeastern Kentucky counties of Leslie, Knott, Letcher, and Perry in the Kentucky River region. The agency is a Community Action Agency established by the Kentucky General Assembly.

The LKLP Central Office is located at Jeff, Kentucky, and is housed with the Perry County JobSight in the Old Dilce Combs High School Building. All administrative functions are conducted at the Central Office including bookkeeping and program development. LKLP has offices located in each county.

The agency is governed by a 24 member Board of Directors comprised of 3 representatives of the private, local elected official, and low-income sectors of each county. All LKLP Board members serve a four year term. The Annual Meeting of the LKLP Board of Directors is held in August of each year. The LKLP Board of Directors meets bi-monthly following the annual meeting. Misson Statement

The Leslie Knott Letcher Perry Community Action Council, Inc., is a private non-profit organization, serving the Kentucky counties of Leslie, Knott, Letcher and Perry. It is designed to be a community action service and planning agency, to develop to the fullest potential the human and natural resources in the four county area. Although the Council's primary focus is the poor, it seeks to actively and substantially involve all segments of the community, in an effort to alleviate the distress of poverty.
