VOCA Job Opening 

LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. has two (2) grant funded position openings for VOCA (Victim of Crime Assistance) Victim Services Case Worker/ Safe House Domestic Violence Advocates. The VOCA grant, Grant Number, VOCA-2023-LKLP Com-00030, is renewable annually through the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet by the U.S. Department of Justice. This position is full time with a starting pay rate of $14.71/hr. Pay could be higher based on education and/or experience. The position involves working directly with victims in crisis and requires excellent computer skills, including Word and EXCEL, good written and oral communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.  Associate's degree is required.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred and the position requires shift work that may include evening, night, and weekend work, and travel for work and trainings. Travel is required to the district and family courts in the counties we serve.

Head Start Job Opening

The LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. seeks applicants for the Lead/Family Development Assistant position based at Mountain View in Hyden, Ky.  The position is full time working 1568 hours per year, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm with a starting salary of $13.86/hr with meeting the minimum position requirements.  Pay could be higher based on education and/or experience.  Responsibilities include all aspects of center operations and also assisting the Family and Community Partnership Manager and Health Specialist in all aspects of social services, parent involvement and health needs for children and families as well as serving as a resource to families.

Education requirements are a High School Diploma or GED.  An Associate Degree or higher is preferred.

Customer Service Representative (CSR) Job Opening

The LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. seeks applicants for the open position of Customer Service Representative.  This position is full time with a starting pay rate of $12.67 per hour.  Pay could be higher based on education/experience.  The position will be based at the Perry Transit Facility in Hazard, Ky. Responsible for all intake and direct contact via phone with recipients requesting Medicaid transportation services.

Education requirements are a high school diploma.

Transportation Job Openings 

LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. is taking applications for transportation drivers. Duties and responsibilities include driving car, bus, van or other agency vehicle to transport passengers for fee, voucher, or other human service transportation. These positions are full time with a starting pay rate of $12.67 per hour. Other essential duties and responsibilities include: picking up passengers in response to radio or telephone relayed request for service, picking up passengers based on predesigned scheduled or fixed route, assisting passengers courteously, assisting with baggage and wheelchairs, etc., attending all required trainings, including Passenger Assistance, First Aid, Defensive driving, etc., reporting by radio or telephone to office/dispatcher on completion of trips, delay or accidents, maintaining all logs and records, collecting and reporting fees, passes or vouches, completing paperwork requiring signatures of necessary parties, maintain a clean, safe vehicle following agency regulations. A driving history, criminal background, and drug test must be completed before hiring.
