VOCA Director-Counselor Hiring

The LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual for the position of VOCA Director-Counselor for the Victims of Crime Act program based in Hazard, KY. This is a full-time Exempt position working primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. The starting salary is $52,083 annually with meeting the minimum requirements.  Pay could be higher based on education and/or experience.

Responsibilities include providing overall management and supervision of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Program and providing therapeutic counseling to victims of all types of crime in the eight county Kentucky River Area Development District.

Education requirements are Master’s degree in social work, human services, criminal justice or related field with a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) certification and active license, from an accredited college or university. Two years’ experience providing direct services preferred.  A minimum of two years supervisory experience is required. Approval of selected candidate qualifications is required by VOCA funding source prior to hiring.

The LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. seeks applicants for the position of Customer Service Representative based in Hazard, Ky.  This position is full time working Monday through Friday with a starting pay rate of $10.10 per hour.  Pay could be higher based on education/experience. Responsibilities include answering incoming calls for recipients requesting Medicaid transportation services, scheduling trips and explaining transportation policies to new recipients.

Education requirements are a High School Diploma or GED with three to six months of related experience required.  Technical, Vocational, or Associate Degree or higher preferred.

LKLP Hiring Drivers

LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. is taking applications for transportation drivers. Duties and responsibilities include driving car, bus, van or other agency vehicle to transport passengers for fee, voucher, or other human service transportation. Other essential duties and responsibilities include: picking up passengers in response to radio or telephone relayed request for service, picking up passengers based on predesigned scheduled or fixed route, assisting passengers courteously, assisting with baggage and wheelchairs, etc., attending all required trainings, including Passenger Assistance, First Aid, Defensive driving, etc., reporting by radio or telephone to office/dispatcher on completion of trips, delay or accidents, maintaining all logs and records, collecting and reporting fees, passes or vouches, completing paperwork requiring signatures of necessary parties, maintain a clean, safe vehicle following agency regulations. A driving history, criminal background, and drug test must be completed before hiring.
